hello,its sushmita again,
because of the error in sudo apt-get update
opening additional drivers for installing nvidia driver gives the error
"Downloading package indexes failed, please check your network status. Most
drivers will not be available."
After trying your commands my software center is now opening thank you so much
for that,but my update command is giving error as detailed in previous comment.
