Hi, I cannot run apport-collect on this bug for a reason that will become apparent later in this report, but I have good indication that the bug is fixed in the latest nightly release of Kubuntu.
I have been affected by this bug in its many incarnations since it appeared in two years ago in Maverick. The workaround is described in the report of bug 872940 and it has been creeping on and off in Ubuntu as well as in other Linux-based systems (a few months ago it has reached GeeXbox which I use as my media player). My Logitech diNovo is attached to an old AMD X2 system with nVidia chipset and onboard graphics. The bug was still present in Precise. I tried to boot from the latest Kubuntu Quantal downloaded today from cdimage. The diNovo also worked at the boot stage. When the graphic installer starts, it would stop working in Precise. With the Quantal nightly, the one time I got into the graphic installer, the diNovo kept working. Unfortunately other issues with the nightly prevent me from doing anything meaningful with it (black lines appearing on the screen where there is movement and the screen becomes quickly useless) so my report is incomplete, but this is strong indication that the bug is fixed in the latest development version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551816 Title: Ubuntu no longer works with my logitech dinovo bluetooth mouse and keyboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/551816/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
