By the way you should gdebi if you are not familiar with installing packages from the command line: just double click on the package. instead of the text based dialog a graphical one will be used.

So I rebooted. Now, when I try to install ANYTHING, I get the following error: Could not initialize the package information A unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information. Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message: 'E:The package virtualbox needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.' So I'm reporting it as it asked me to. Any idea how to resolve this?
