I have been running the upstream kernel for a few days. I get crashes
but I have difficulty capturing the 'oops' report. Usually the system
will freeze while I'm running X and it doesn't switch back to the text
console. The suggestion on the wiki to open an ssh connection and 'cat
/proc/kmsg' didn't show any additional output.

For a while it seemed that I was getting crashes soon after RAID-1
rebuild finished. Unfortunately when I was in the text console and this
happened I saw an oops report but it quickly scrolled off the screen due
to all the other message the kernel was sending (mainly from ext3 about
not being able to write to disk.)

Now that I have 'cat /proc/kmsg | head -60' running in the text console
to try to catch the first of the error messages, I have had less success
reproducing the problem.

So: there still seems to be a bug affecting me, but I can't tell whether
it's got the same signature.
