Vitor,
According to your last Boot-Info (http://paste.ubuntu.com/1171399), you are
using Ubuntu 32bit.  (10.04 upgraded to 12.04)

So here is how to test the Mainline Kernel (@Joseph, please correct if
I'm wrong):

1) Open this page with Firefox:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.6-rc5-quantal/
2) Download the 4 following files:

[1] linux-headers-3.6.0-030600rc5-generic_3.6.0-030600rc5.201209082035_i386.deb
[2] linux-headers-3.6.0-030600rc5_3.6.0-030600rc5.201209082035_all.deb
[3] linux-image-3.6.0-030600rc5-generic_3.6.0-030600rc5.201209082035_i386.deb
[4]
linux-image-extra-3.6.0-030600rc5-generic_3.6.0-030600rc5.201209082035_i386.deb

3) Open your file browser, navigate until you find your 3 downloaded files.
4) Double-click on the 3 files and install them (i think the order is [1] then
[2] then [3] then [4])
5) Reboot your PC
6) The GRUB menu appears, the first line should be the new kernel (3.6).
7) Select it, and indicate what you observe here.
