** Description changed: Ubuntu 3.2.0-30.48-generic 3.2.27 I bought myself two of these, and they don't work properly. I cannot write to them, and they only play one track of a CD, if that. These are the first Sata drives that I have installed in my computer to replace a failing IDE DVD writer. I am supplying bits from syslog, dmesg, and ksystemlog viewer. These DVDs do work under XP and Fedora 17, but not under the latest Mint. If any more information is required, please ask. I have been able to boot live disks on them. Since creating these traces I have removed one unit.
