I've reinstalled 10.04, upgraded to 12.04 successfully. Of course that the
kernel 3.20 didn't run. I've entered by the old kernel (10.04) and installed
the kernel you've indicated.
In fact, this one
(linux-headers-3.6.0-030600rc5-generic_3.6.0-030600rc5.201209082035_i386.deb)
runs well (more or less). Probably it is still on test...
I've opened several programs, briefcases and so on. No problem. No freezes, no
nothing. It's fast.
At the beginning, the graphics was ok, with a good resolution. After restart,
came by itself to 1024x768. Before, was at 1280x800 (I suppose). The icons
became bigger.
It ran well until the moment I've activated the nvidia driver. At first it
didn't let me install and after several tries, warned me that the controller
wasn't installed but had to restart. I did it and now I can't go to ubuntu
because it is in "low graphics mode...) and won't get out of that screen. I had
to force the shutdown.

Another thing is that if I open the Options (control center), for example, the
mouse is visible and if I pass it over the icons, it disappers. It is there but
can't be seen. No problem at all with that. In fact, it's proven that it works
and well.
Now, I'm going to do all again (reinstall 10.04, upgrade to 12.04 and so on)
but I don't mind.
