Ok, I've done some further testing: I have to correct myself on the eog crash. In this case not the whole system crashes, but only the gnome session (user will get back to login screen). Only error message I can find is this one: gnome-session[2219]: Gdk-WARNING: gnome-session: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :1.#012 This is actually an always bug with certain jpgs. This only happens with eog, not firefox, not shotwell.
One addition: I'm running the 386er arch, not amd64 as Dom. I have tested the latest kernel (linux-image-3.6.0-030600rc6-generic_3.6.0-030600rc6.201209161835_i386). It fixes the crash after bootup, but not the eog related crash. Not 100% sure if these two are the same. @Joseph: please add tags as you see fit or tell me hwo to give further information, I'm unsure about this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051534 Title: System crash after opening jpeg image (with eog or firefox) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1051534/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
