Thank you for the reply Christopher. I am fairly new to the Launchpad community, so I was wondering if you could tell me why this bug is insufficient. Why is it beneficial to create a new bug the will effectively be an exact duplicate of this one, since the problem I'm experiencing is exactly described here. Similarly, if I did create a new bug, it seems to me that this bug, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1054439 created by Matt Smith as you instructed him, and my potential new bug are addressing essentially the same issue and thus should all be duplicates of each other.
I just read over that and I should qualify that I'm definitely not trying to be aggressive, I'm just confused and trying to understand how to do things here :) Again thank you for you help! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1016147 Title: ALPS Touchpad' incorrectly detected as PS/2 mouse in 'Acer Aspire V3-771G' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1016147/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
