This is certainly not a duplicate of bug #1054746. I just tested that change in Ubutnu 12.10 beta and it's an all or nothing solution.
Flick this new switch to OFF, the Video Lense and Music Lense results become local only, no longer searching YouTube or the Music Store like it does now in 12.04,. This is not what we're asking for in this bug report Ie. "Don't include remote searches in the home lens" We have no problem with remote searches in other lenses, which have been around for 6 months and we were fine with it.
