Ooh. Well, I may not have been able to reproduce on my test machine,
but on my normal development laptop, 'sudo grub-mount /dev/sda5 /mnt'
results in an empty /mnt, where /dev/sda5 is my root partition and is
certainly not empty. Oh dear. Investigating.
