Emmanuel Castro, thank you for providing the debugging information. Regarding your comments https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/898852/comments/35 : >"– acpi=off → test in progress, but in this mode, the advanced capabilities of >my video card are disabled, so it switches to Unity2D. I has not frozen... >yet."
So, you could not get the computer to freeze on or off battery using this kernel parameter? As well, as per http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=ca&prodNameId=1847704&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1847703&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093#120 your BIOS is outdated. Could you please upgrade to the newest one (F.0B) and comment if this problem is still reproducible? Also, could you please test http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v3.6.2-quantal/ ? ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/898852 Title: CPU0:; EIP is at arch_local_irq_enable+0x5/0xb To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/898852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
