L, thank you for testing the mainline kernel. As per
http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-nvs.html your nvidia card is an
optimus one. Hence, you may be affected by how the Nvidia linux drivers
do not seem to work with your hardware as per the README
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux-display-amd64-260.19.44-driver.html .
So, as a potential WORKAROUND, could you please test the Bumblebee PPA
via https://launchpad.net/~bumblebee/+archive/stable and comment on the
results?
