These last files attached per my request in bug #994921, because of the
report that trying to run 'ubuntu-bug update-manager' results in a
backtrace that would indicate corruption in the dpkg database.
I don't see any sign of corruption in the attached files, however. You
say you still get this crash if you try to run the ubuntu-bug command?
Do you get the same crash if you run ubuntu-bug with a different package
name?
