Hi Nobuto Thanks for your work on this bug. You are right, if the description is in many lines, then it cannot start in the same line as the Description: string. This is documented here:
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch- controlfields.html#s-f-Description intltool works consistently with this documentation, that's why it did not appeared translated for you first. With the change in the paste the localization should work fine, so please commit that into the proposed branch too. I have learned about this behavior in bug #514401. update-notifier displays the content of these .note files, and it tolerates multiple line long Description fields.
