Oneiric (11.10) does not resume.
Natty (11.04) doesn't boot, error "ath9k: Failed to initialize device"
Maverick (10.10) does not fully suspend (power LED and fan stay on), and it
doesn't resume from that state.

It seems lucid (10.04.4) was the last release where suspend/resume
worked, so I'd like to go into the bisecting of lucid, but I need some
guidance.

First thing is, how do I test a kernel upgrade when I'm only running
from a live CD? I can't install deb packages and boot the new kernel.

Second thing is, 10.04.4 comes with linux-image version 2.6.32-38,
maverick has 2.6.35-19 (checked what's in the ISOs) So I suspect you
want me to try all lucid versions from 2.6.32-38 down to the end of the
list on

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/linux

because the last one there is still below 2.6.35. That would be a very
long list.

Please advise.
