Tested with the kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v3.7-rc4-raring/

# uname -a
Linux flax 3.7.0-030700rc4-generic #201211041435 SMP Sun Nov 4 19:35:50 UTC
2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

No noticeable change, it still seems to be using the internal mic. Note,
that I'm going by sound quality (which should change dramatically)
because it's the same device and I know no way of determining actual
input.
