Here is /var/log/syslog after unsuccessful startup and subsequent ifdown/ifup cycle.
eth1 for some reason has ip address 169.254.6.29, and no wireless networks show up using iwlist scan. sudo iwconfig eth1 essid ginger.wireless is allowed, but doesn't actually connect to the network. sudo iwconfig eth1 shows ginger.wireless as the essid, but the mac address of the router doesn't show up, neither does any other information regarding the router (link quality etc). after ifdown/ifup all works perfectly. ** Attachment added: "/var/log/syslog after reboot when wireless doesn't pick up" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8317542/syslog -- network card not fully working after startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/98660 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
