This bug is related to your ticket #124296 (gnome-keyring) Adding in some observations based on my 7.10 setup
a) Gnome Keyring : load prompt : "allow once / deny / allow always" : even though allow always for say - nm-applet - is selected, it is not storing the preference. So at next boot, it again prompts for the same. b) I have noticed that - my nm-applet which connects to a "WPA Wireless" at home and to an "Ethernet" at office -- seems to wait for gnome-keyring to be available. If at start, I bring up gnome-keyring, do a manual password to it, then nm-applet is able to read the stored passphrase for WPA and go forward. c) In some cases with Ethernet, I have had to wait for nm-applet to load (it is taking some time to come up ~1 min after the desktop comes up) and then do a unplug-plugin Ethernet connection and it works. -- network-manager doesnt connect me at startup anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124297 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
