Ok, After some testing I think I can confirm that the sector size is coming from the pdc driver and not windows. All the drives I created of various sizes with windows and gparted show up in both operating systems and always have a sector size of 512.
So we need to change the sector size advertised by dmraid to accommodate this, what is odd is that the metadata sector count is still 512 bytes / sector just to confuse things. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/599255 Title: dmraid fails to read promise RAID sector count larger than 32-bits To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dmraid/+bug/599255/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
