Whoops. I should have checked the package I suppose. But if it's
abandoned, then why is it still included in the repo? This is
disappointing, because I don't like ufw/gufw ("Uncomplicated Firewall"
is sometimes more complicated then simply using iptables directly).

Yes, it works for me.  And it's more convenient then running `while
true; do netstat -a | grep LISTEN; done` in a terminal window. The
Firestarter GUI is a plus.
