Same problem here on Kubuntu 12.10. Suddenly, KDE wouldn't start and fortunately I quickly found that logfile had filled up my harddrive.
I've set "debug=0" in "/lib/udev/uvcdynctrl" as mentioned above to work around the issues for now, but that obviously isn't a real solution.
