The patch you mentioned  is more than a year old.
I assume that there is some magic hda_verb line that would help.

I am quite helpless when it get's to debugging these hda problems, but I am 
pretty good in following instructions.
If you tell me what information you need I can try to figure that out.

Today I tried different alsa configuration options but nothing helped. Actually 
I didn't even see any changes.
Also the realtec alsa driver didn't work. Some missing symbols.
