Could you please test for this in the newest mainline kernel
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.8-rc1-raring/ ?

>"Unfortunately, and I'm not sure if is related to the BIOS change, but
I am now also having problems with window focus switching and clicking
of window manage controls (e.g. close) etc. Additionally Alt-Tab work
intermittently, but generally does not bring up the task switcher. I am
now trying to install 12.10 to see if I this resolves the windowing
issue, and then I will return to confirming if the BIOS upgrade helps."

Just to clarify, this report is only about your suspend issue. If you
have another bug to report, feel free to create a another report, one
for each issue.

?"As a question: The BIOS now presents the VT option which can be
enabled. Should this be enabled if no VMMs are likely to use it?"

As this is a development bug report, and not a support forum, if you
have support questions, you are welcome to seek support via
www.ubuntu.com/support

>"Or, for the purposes of this testing should this be left disabled in
the BIOS?"

You are welcome to enable it. However, which ever you choose, keep it
that way for the duration of this bug report.

Thank you for your understanding.
