I'm not so sure anymore of the duplicate status.
Applying the workaround described in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/999462
solve the problem where the hot-plug/unplug of the card doesn't work.
Getting USB device to work reliably if not already plugged-in when you
hot-plug the card doesn't work for me now.
