do your computer chassis have a hda front audio panel ? http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-020642.htm#standards Note that AC’97 and Intel® HD Audio front panel solutions are different and may not be directly compatible or interchangeable. You can also physically check the audio cable of the front panel audio solution. If there is a cable connected to Pin 4, you have an Intel® HD Audio module; if there is no cable to Pin 4, you have an AC97 module. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1099167 Title: [Intel DX58SO, Realtek ALC889, Green Headphone Out, Front] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1099167/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
