Thank you for your prompt response and sorry to hear that you have moved
to Lubuntu.
Based on your description, it sounded like a bug because not closing
windows after clicking the X button is not the intended behavior of
Ubuntu.
At this point, in the current version of Ubuntu (12.04 LTS), I have been
unable to reproduce this problem or find any possible duplicate Bug
Reports describing a similar issue. For this reason we will be closing
the report as Invalid. Should you be able to reproduce in the future
please feel free to reopen this Bug Report.
