ia32-libs is deprecated, and no further libraries will be added to it.
There is a perfectly serviceable i386 skype package available from
either the Canonical partner archive or from http://beta.skype.com/en
/download-skype/skype-for-linux/downloading/?type=ubuntu64 which
installs and works correctly on amd64, resolving its library
dependencies via multiarch.
