Using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - Alternative using Expert Mode I am attempting a new install on 4 disks. Disk 1 has a dedicated 3mb partition for bios_grub & GPT Disk 1 has a 32MB disk for SWAP The rest of the 4 1.5 Terabyte drives are formatted for a single Raid 10 device.
When it' s time to install the Boot_Loader, it attempt to install on a Master Boot Record. Since I'm using GPT, a fatal error occurs. It appears though the hard drive is formatted for GPT, the installation app does not support it. AFter hacking about the boot loader option a while, I click on continue without bootloader It says I need to mount to /dev/md127 I have attempted to fix this with the Linux-Secure-Remix CD but haven't found a solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991106 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 bootloader installation problem on RAID To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/991106/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
