If you do not know how to apply the patch, you have to wait for a fixed 
release. Until then you can either :
- use a hard link instead (works the same way on Linux and Windows, but has a 
different semantics from a symlink, which might not suit your purpose).
- add a temporary second symlink, created on Linux by "cd"ing to the directory 
just below the one where you have the current symlink, and :
ln -s ../my_NTFS_target '..\my_NTFS_target'
(mind the quotes required for the \ to mean just that)
