Is this really a firefox problem? You do not mention anything about the sound problem - just the apt repository problem.
Try the following to fix the sources.list file: Press alt-f2, a dialog should appear. Enter "gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list" You could then edit the file, e.g. removing the bad repository and save it.
