You probably upgraded the kernel, which changes ABI every so often. With
every new set of kernel and linux-restricted-modules packages, you will
lose the manually installed firmware, third-party modules, etc.
I keep this open as a wishlist bug against l-r-m. It would be shiny if
firmware could be moved over on package upgrades, since it is not ABI
specific. Alternatively, firmware should be searched for in an ABI-
independent path.
** Changed in: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: restricted-manager => linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22
Importance: Undecided => Wishlist
Status: New => Confirmed
** Summary changed:
- Upgrade to latest Gutsy Gibbon turned off Broadcom 43xx
