Well Phillip, I would really like to know what you call it then?? It seems very odd that Ubuntu 10.04,10.10, 12.04,12.10 and a dozen other distros have not been a problem on this machine with this issue. Like I said above in my lengthy posting(maybe you missed it) that I had this problem with Natty. I ditched it and went to Fedora and suddenly and miraculously rite in front of my eyes my drives were as they were supposed to be!! Sda= operating system Sdb= Storage!! Imagine that?? I respectfully disagree and do not accept your reply as anything that resembles an answer to what is causing this!
