Hello, I tried reproducing this problem by manually running this on a
terminal (use ctrl-alt-t to open a terminal):
PATH=$PATH:/usr/share/checkbox/scripts alsa_record_playback
I didn't get the error you mention. I wonder if you could try this with
a release image of Ubuntu 13.04, where you shouldn't experience this
problem anymore. If you do, please set this bug back to Confirmed and
add a comment here with the output of running the command I mentioned.
