Can you try these steps

1. Create a file in the Downloads folder (let's say it's called "test")
2. Open the files lens and search for that file. Note that it is listed (under
the heading Downloads).
3. Create a folder in the Downloads folder (let's say it's called "hidden").
4. Open Privacy settings.
5. Click the tab Files.
6. Add "hidden" to the list titled "Don't record activity in the following
folders".
7. Close Privacy settings.
8. Move "test" into "hidden".
9. Open the files lens and search for "test".

Does it still show yup?
