I guess it's a matter of what you mean by "latency". For the next step, I'm going to have to ask for help from somebody who understands the snd-usb-audio driver. In the meantime, there is one more piece of information you can provide. We should see what lsusb has to say about your sound device; please attach the output from "lsusb -v -s 1:2".
