Public bug reported:

CVXOPT is a Python package for convex optimization
(http://abel.ee.ucla.edu/cvxopt)

As the package is already in Debian Testing and Unstable, it should be a
minimum of work to include it.
I am one of the upstream authors of the package, but not the Debian
maintainer, and I would really like to
see it included in Ubuntu.

We're releasing a new version next week. What is the time-line for including
this new version in
Gutsy, provided the Debian maintainer uploads the new version to Experimental
shortly?

Best regards
Joachim
