/var/tmp is an odd location. Can this be adjusted to honor $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR? If 
so, we could somehow set (see email thread):
XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/<app-id>

and then we wouldn't have to change anything else. Ie, the temp file would be 
written to:
$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/<app-id>/etilqs_...

which would work fine for application confinement.
