Thanks for catching this, it was totally my fauilt. There was a merge
conflict with debian that dropped the last half of the for loop. I got
all the bits back in, but apparently not in the proper order.
Debian has significantly changed this section of code, and I've debated
if we should scrap our current code and use theirs. The evidence that
your monitor got detected correctly suggests this may be worth doing.
Alternately, I've wondered if we should add 32 to the depth list.
