peterzay, well, the last thing we would need is a test of the latest mainline kernel. I'm not terribly sure what assessment you made to determine the risk, but if one does a full backup (ex. just critical data, bit-for-bit drive copy via cloning software, etc.) no risk exists. As it stands, we are limited to the Ubuntu Community only, and the at most handful of upstream developers, which does not maximize the probability of this issue being addressed.
Hence, would it be possible to test the latest mainline kernel so we can get upstream developers to check this out? ** Tags removed: regression-potential ** Tags added: lucid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1104506 Title: 05dc:a201 [Dell Inspiron 660] Lexar JumpDrive S70 32GB intermittently takes 12 seconds to open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1104506/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
