@Colin It'd be nice to know what version of ofono we're disussing, and on what device this test was run?
As for the socket IO... On Touch, ofono is configured to use the rilmodem driver, which communicates with a daemon process called rild, which manages the modem. rild is a hybrid FOSS/proprietary daemon. The RIL protocol is based on the Binder's serialized Parcel wire format. ofono sends requests to rild, which return replies. The constant traffic you're seeing is probably the Signal Strength unsolicited events that are sent from rild. As for the "Operation currently not available" traffic, it does look like DBus traffic to me, however I'm not sure... One last question, does your device have a valid SIM card inserted? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1221829 Title: ofonod is polling fairly regularly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1221829/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
