The PPA page contains the following text: "To revert to official packages, install the ppa-purge package and run "sudo ppa-purge xorg-edgers". Note: This currently has issues in oneiric because ppa-purge there does not work with multiarch. ppa-purge packages from this PPA do purge correctly on precise and newer."
