I get the same error message when attempting to run gearadmin on Ubuntu
13.10. When I tried on Ubuntu Trusty (the current development version)
it ran as expected though. I find this interesting, because except for a
rebuild, that's the exact same package. I wonder whether a rebuild might
fix the issue on 13.10 as well, or if it is due to a library further
down in the stack being upgraded on Trusty.
