Hello Christopher, I have just installed and tested the version you have linked to. Unfortunately that version crashes already directly after the messages:
Loading Linux 3.13.0-031300rc3-generic ... Loading initial ramdisk ... Therefore I can tell you there seems to be issues with this version but i can not tell you if the bug I have reported is in this specific version of linux.
