Just tried the workaround proposed here (use drm-intel-nightly kernel,
removed nvidia-prime, and remove "nomodeset" from grub options) and it
works just as good, probably a bit better: I can plug-in an external
screen, though I lost the main screen if I am to unplug/deactivate the
external screen. Suspend seems to fail just as before (blank screen, yet
functioning system on resume). I assume those two issues are for another
bug report anyway.

Note to @penalvch: the previous comment was another workaround for this
bug that worked for me, not another bug report. Do you still want me to
fill in a new report?
