> apache would not run after performing a fresh server install This would indeed be a bug, but you haven't described how to reproduce this, and the report you filed here appears to be a different issue (that calling "apache2 -V" doesn't work, which is not a bug).
If you do have a "Apache doesn't work out of the box" problem, and you believe that this is a bug rather than something different you are doing locally, then please file a new bug and detail that specific case, including exact steps to reproduce, expected results and actual results, with detail. If you aren't aware of it or the issues discussed there, "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html is a helpful general guide on filing bugs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1262853 Title: Apache2 config file not set up correctly during install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1262853/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
