This bug is partially fixed in Gnome shell 3.10. When some one messages
me, a popup opens at bottom center of the screen. When I move the cursor
to the popup, focus will be automatically shifted to text area and I can
write text directly without any mouse clicks in text area.

But the other part is not fixed. If I open the popup by clicking the
icon at right bottom of the screen, popup opens but focus doesn't shift
to text area. I have to place the cursor at text area and then write
text. So additional clicks here. First I have to move to messaging area,
then click on icon present in right bottom panel and then click on text
area of popup to write text.

Can you please auto focus in the text area the moment I click on icon
present in right bottom panel so that I can enter text directly -
saves click ( in text area)

Thanks!
