The translations for the apps that we install by default are already available in the click packages, and in terms of maintenance it'd be much easier to load them from there - they're placed there automatically vs. manually uploading them to the store's web UI.
Could Unity 8 (or whichever part of the stack that shows the apps' desktop files in the Launcher and in the Applications scope) not just load those, in the same way translations for the app itself are loaded? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1237992 Title: Need to load translations from .desktop files for click apps To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scope-click/+bug/1237992/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
