I have put a request for a stable release update to the Ubuntu bug control team.
[Impact] * This phone does not cause Nautilus to open a new tab for its SD card (nor any other action in Nautilus) for Ubuntu 12.04. Bug 903422 (for Samsung phones) advises opening a new bug for any other phone. Please note that the Moto G is a very popular phone. * PS I've tried using Philip Langdale's ppa (https://launchpad.net/~langdalepl/+archive/gvfs-mtp) but that makes no difference. When I contacted him, he stated that the functionality is now in Ubuntu 13.10 & that he would not be changing his ppa. [Test Case] * Connect a Moto G phone by USB cable. In the phone's Settings->Storage, click the 3 vertical dots at the top left of the phone's screen, click 'USB computer connection' & ensure that 'Media Device (MTP)' is ticked. If things were working correctly, Nautilus would open a tab/window showing the contents of the /sdcard directory. [Regression Potential] * None known. and provides guidance to testers in regression-testing the SRU. [Other Info] * Anything else you think is useful to include * Anticipate questions from users, SRU, +1 maintenance, security teams and the Technical Board * and address these questions in advance -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1276715 Title: Motorola G Android Phone does not connect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1276715/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
