I've installed Kubuntu Gutsy Tribe 5, and I'm still experiencing the same difficulty in downloading anything from the repositories. It hangs at about 27-30% when I try to fetch updates in Adept. I've just tried using OpenDNS to see if that makes any difference, and I'm afraid it doesn't make it any better. Now, if I try fetching updates in Adept, it doesn't want to get started at all. I did try apt-get update, figuring that it might show an error message there that might give some clue as to what's the matter. Here's what it said:
